[Oct 16] Nicu Ceausescu*
and Nadia Comaneci
(*the son of former dictator)
Romanian independent TV station "OTV" have
aired last evening, during their program called "Testimonies
about past" , an interview with Nicu Ceausescu, the son
of former dictator Ceausescu.
The interview, dated back in 1990, just one year
after the dictator removal from the power, was made by a Spanish
TV team and unknown to Romanians.
During the program, aired Friday at midnight, the Spanish
TV reporter have tried to ask about Nicu Ceausescu's love
affairs (he was most known by the Romanian people being as
a playboy-type, many legend being spreads across the country).
Nicu answered that most stories are not trues, only legends
and
"to finish with this part, I have to tell you that I
will not answer any more to personal questions".
A good reporter have to do his best to get the
answers, so the Spanish journalist try again soon, asking
Nicu Ceausescu about his relationship with Nadia
Comaneci.
Spanish TV reporter: "You have had an
affair with Nadia
Comaneci.What do you remember about this?"
Nicu Ceausescu :"She was a good athlete. A very good
one"
He then looks to his right, where his lawyer was sitting during
the interview, and having a short smile on his face.
[He didn't deny the affirmation from the reporter question
or neither being angry about]
The TV show, consist from studio interviews with special guests,
airing older tapes with exclusive stories and also live messages
(by sms or e-mail) from viewers around the country and the
globe (is broadcast by satellite in Europe and USA).
They have received a message from a former
waiter, which worked for Nicu Ceausescu back in 80's.He told
them that the son of former dictator have helped in fact Nadia
Comaneci's former coach Bela
Karolyi and also Nadia Comaneci, later, to leave from
the country.
[Our note: this help for Nadia could be like letting her
moving freely, which she needed to escape in December 1989.
This was practically impossible without some high level help,
due to Nadia 24/7 surveillance during those times].
