fans and copyright: Web TV broadcasting on TVR
Since our site have informed you about the programs (gymnastics-related)
available on www.tvr.ro/webcast
, a lot of you have used this opportunity to see programs
with the Romanian gymnastics team.
Unfortunately, same occasion was used by others, dishonest
people, which made a hobby from stealing video footage from
legitimate owners and re-posting illegally over the Internet
(putting you on risk by letting you to download and use stolen
goods). As we said before (see our article about Gymnastics
fans and copyright issues), we want to prevent you from doing
something illegally. Keep in mind, saying "I didn't know is
not legal to download a stolen video" is not a defence in
front of law and you may be asked later (not so later as you
may think) to pay fines and compensations, according to world-wide
copyright agreements.
Any website which promote such activities (links to sites
with stolen videos) is breaking the law.And you broke the
law, too, when download a stolen video.The excuse used by
those videos-thieves, like "their website are not for-profit
ones"is not valid, there is no difference when somebody steal
your car and give it for charity-is still a crime, since the
legitimate owner didn't get any compensation for his goods.
The consequences for honest gymnastics fans can be bad, too,
if the television will decide to restrict the access to downloads
(to make them available only to registered users, after a
credit card ID checking, for example-even for a free view)
and also by requesting post-payments from those which have
downloaded stolen videos from sites which re-play them.

some videos undertaken from our site, is as following:
Any undertaking of TVR broadcast or webcast for re-transmit
them over the Internet or from any other website, other than
the official site of Romanian Television http://tvr.ro is
illegal. The full content of our programs is copyright-protected
and are law-protected by the Copyright Laws.
The content downloaded from this service (webcast) can be
used only for personal purpose, this content can not
be reproduced, re-broadcasted, re-distributed, sold, published
inside any other site web, full or in excerpts, without prior,
written consent of Romanian Television.
