Comaneci on VISA card, to be launched in Romania
 A
VISA credit card wearing Nadia's "perfect 10" UB
exercise at Montreal and her signature will be launched in
Romania next week.
 The
printing, TV and billboard campaign is already going on, other
two Romanian sports legends, former soccer player Gheorghe
Hagi and tennis player Ilie Nastase will also have their images
printed on this special edition of VISA or Mastercards, available
from the Romanian BRD-Societe Generale bank
(a joint French-Romanian business).
This is a limited time offer for Romanian gym fans, the cards
being issued only until January 30. The VISA debit card can
be obtained for a $ 170 (50 RON) and the Master card (which
is a credit card), for Euros 400 (like $500), upon compelling
bank requirements about proving the monthly income.
Sports legends are among Romanians most beloved public figures,
no wonder that a bank have chosen the image of top Romanian
Legends to have such a PR campaign using their image.
Romanian gymnastics fans worldwide: although these cards are
issued in Romania, they bear the universal (and trusted) logos
of VISA and Master cards, the first two major card issues.
If you want to have such a collection piece, you have more
options: to call a Societe Generale branch nearest you (they
have a large NY branch and also in major capitals) and ask
them to make you a favor and get one (the printed blank) for
you. Or you can travel to Bucharest and visit the bank; if
you have a Romanian friend you can ask him to make one for
you (using a notary statement); same solution apply for Romanians
abroad-send your relatives a notarized statement to get one
for you, in your name.
Owners of this special edition VISA cards will take part in
a special contest, with prizes like soccer T-shirts with Hagi's
autograph, a tennis racket and other promotional items.

Romanian gymnasts, to visit Nadia's gym club
10 Romanian gymnasts from different clubs will visit
Nadia's
& Bart gymnastics Academy in US, part of the
new launched VISA cards campaign in Romania.
The announcement was made by Nadia herself, during a live
show at Antena 3 this evening. The new VISA cards (to be launched
next days in Romania) carry the image of famous Romanian athletes:
Nadia Comaneci, Ilie Nastase and Gheorghe Hagi.
