[March 1] "Martisoare"
(trinkets) for romanian gymnastics team
All the Romanian main important TV channels have aired tonight
news regarding gymnastics.
 Belu
has visited the team today to give them "martisoare"
( trinkets- some small, handmade symbols, which are given
to girls & women's today, in East European countries).
Romanian-gymnastics.com have also send the top models of trinkets,
the 24k Gold plated ones, of another producer, the top brand
on local market of Gold-plated "martisoare",
all being confirmed received today by Silvia Stroescu, Oana
Ban, Andreea Chelaru and Sabina Cojocar (we have included
trinkets for their mothers, too).
We have chosen two models: a flower-replica with a diamond-alike
insert and a small horseshoe (in popular tradition is supposed
to bring good luck).
At the OTV and ProTv station, Oana Petrovschi was seen also
receiving a "martisor"and
a small bunch of snowdrops, form the soccer player Florentin
Petre of "Dinamo"soccer team; the whole team was
visiting a Bucharest Mall to give flowers and trinkets to
girls and they have met Oana Petrovschi (which is in Bucharest
for medical tests asked by the Court; of course, Oana was-as
seen on TV...- on the line at the ice cream, with another
girl. (see following story and our Newsletter Special Report).
 According
to Bucharest "Pro Sport":
"The girls randomly selected their gifts from a bag with
various "martisoare".
Ponor got a clover,
 Rosu
a sun, Eremia an anchor and
Munteanu a star."
The" Pro Sport" tabloid has asked a famous Romanian
(former) race pilot, Mihai Leu, to come also and he gave "martisoare",
to the girls, too.
Mihai, now acting as counselor of ANS (the Romanian Sport
Authority) Director, have invited Belu to join him in car
races (as a joke). The story was on ProTv (our Romanian readers
can see the replay at 11 p.m.). The ProTv program can be viewed
in US through some cable companies , TVR can be seen (recorded
news) on their
website, the OTV station can be seen in Europe and UK
(free), if you own a satellite dish.
[Update] Bucharest sport tabloid "Proport"
pretend that Belu's trinkets were "pure Gold"; they
also quote Belu for saying to girls:"I got you some
presents from Gold, because you are the Golden Girls".
