Oana
Petrovschi, between medical tests and ice-cream...
Oana Petrovschi has finished today her (almost a week long!)
medical tests. For a young girl with her medical problems,
walking around few different Bucharest clinics, to have her
medical tests required by the Court, it was both painful and
a bad experience. It takes almost three days to find and get
a meet with one of the doctors named by the Court and many
other long hours of waiting on some clinics halls, to get
the other tests.
Even more disturbing, all what she gets after
almost (another) week lost from her school and treatment,
was that she get only an (sooo old) X-ray radiography, instead
of a full RMN test (which could reveal by far, a more detailed
situation).
Since 2001, all major medical centers in Romania have the
newest apparatus to perform the finest and most detailed RMN
tests a patient would need (we know it for sure, because we
just have same test needed for Andreea Chelaru-a full CD with
tens of detailed RMN's , which doctors from around the world
asked by us can exam easily, from a top secured web location
).These high tech clinics are privately run but they still
have a (highly disputed and coruption related in press, as
most of the former neocomunist Gov. contracts) deal with the
State official Health system. This make things looking at
least strange-why such a complete test was not required by
the Court.
Oana lawyer can ask for another medical investigation, if
they will not agree with the conclusions from these first
ones; and it seems this may be the case, since Oana told us
this afternoon that apparently, some of the doctors "conclusions"
were that she can perform some sports (?), contrary to all
evidences and medical tests made in Hungary. The final decision
regarding these medical tests will be taken by the Court next
week.
Oana Petrovschi has spend all days since Monday, going to
different Bucharest Clinics ; in the afternoons, she met some
of her friends and visited mostly same place at Bucharest
(older) Mall-the "Vitan" one. Between some salads
and ice creams, she has started to enjoy her new status as...a
(somehow late) teenage girl.
She gets some ideas about moving to Bucharest after finishing
her school (and have had some argues with her boyfriend regarding
this). Since she may : 1) have better treatment options in
Bucharest (pools available, unlike Deva-where she will have
to travel each day like 30 miles with a train to the nearby
city where she can have her daily necessary swimming therapy;
2) more career and study-related option, Oana may choose to
move at Bucharest this summer. Well, this way she can met
more often Mrs. Bitang and maybe they will finally become
closer, who knows? Not in this lifetime, of course.
Oana didn't spend (almost) anything from the $4500 she got
from Belu, except a new Nokia mobile phone, the older one
refusing to work any more since last week (the older being
bought at second hand market, it last shorter than a new bought
one).Oana knows she will need to spend a lot of money trying
to recover as much as possible, her health back; she have
deposited in a bank her money and kept "only the minimum
necessary to spare these days, for emergencies".
By the middle of the next week, we may hear about any deal
with ARDAF, if they can conclude one, to stop the trial going
one further. This week, some discussion among Oana lawyer
and ARDAF management took place, and Oana have received a
very interesting offer from ARDAF (for the moment, we do not
reveal details to help them reach a conclusion, if possible,
for everybody's benefit and peace of mind). It's about Oana
receiving a Bucharest apartment and some extra money (a monthly
allowance for the next five years, to take care of her recovery)
from ARDAF.
Friday evening, Oana has attended the Grand
Final of the Hockey National Championships, among "Steaua"
Bucharest and "SC Miercurea Ciuc". She was the special
guest of Mr.Kurko, the millionaire who runs the second club,
which has sponsored Oana
Petrovschi trip and medical tests in Hungary. This time,
unlike
the previous game, (where Belu and the team did attend)
Steaua Club have won the national Title ( 4-3), despite a
very "hard" game from the guests side (violent defending
after seeing they can't win).
We hope that Mr.Kurko want all the best for Oana, so we can
only wonder if asking Oana to attend a few hours long competition
in a very cold environment was a good idea for her health
(she use to visit only the Bucharest Mall mainly because she
can have few hours or a whole afternoon, in a warm environment,
Bucharest weather being cold, too ,these days). Oana being
a gentle person, maybe she could not refuse such an invitation
at a hockey game form her "sponsor", but better
look carefully in future at her medical needs.
