Petrovschi suit-backcounting to a happy end?
Oana Petrovschi suit against B&B+RGF may
close to a happy end soon, an agreement between Oana lawyer
Dana Pavelescu and ARDAF (the official sponsor of RGF) being
expected to be signed tomorrow.
If they will conclude on last details, a press conference
is expected tomorrow afternoon, to announce the agreement.
The whole case made a history turnpoint in Romanian gymnastics,
with main coach Octavian Belu admitting in front of Judge
that he took a 30% tax from Petrovschi's cash prizes of gym
competition.
ARDAF have imposed an undisclosed clause of
the detailed terms of agreement, in the meantime some "leaks"from
ARDAF, including some ARDAF President statements, revealed
some details. The total amount paid to Oana Petrovschi is
supposed to be in the Euro 50 000- 100 000 range (closer to
first one); the deal will not include cash, but a Bucharest
apartment, monthly allowance (for next five years) and a promise
to support all medical expenses for her treatment, including
a surgery-if doctors will decide there is a need for this.
It seems that the trial will end in a happy
win-win situation, with Oana Petrovschi getting the support
she looked for, with B&B and RGF -avoiding to pay anything
from their pockets and also, most important, with Mrs.Bitang
avoiding a possible conviction for her treatment on Oana (asking
her to train with a back problem, according to Oana statements).
Maybe this time everybody will learn the lesson
and pay more attention to any medical problem of the girls,
in future. It's easy (or at least it was until recently) to
be "covered" with kilos of (some stupid) doctors
signatures, but if a medical problem is real, something worst
can happen any time, with any girl, God Forbid!
"They" almost get away (again) with a girl accusation,
but Oana Petrovschi lesson can be easy learned by any other
girl, so better treat them (as they are) as the World's Most
Precious Girls, not as "disposable" ones, easy replaceable,
any more!
If a car company will start "produce" top brand
cars with a reject rate of 30...40% (like B&B "successful
rate" with the girls from National team seems to be past
years), then the manager will easy get fired and even worst.They
should think about this, more than about their 30% or salaries.
