Total", a new Romanian sports daily
"Sport Total", a new Romanian
sports daily to appear during May, will have among contributors
former gymnasts, asked to write about gymnastics competitions
and in depth analysis. After Andreea Raducan made a successful
debut in TV journalism last summer, now we may see (finally)
some well documented articles and in-depth knowledge of gymnastics,
written by former gymnasts.
Rumors about tens of journalists of the sport
tabloid "Prosport" leaving the tabloid to join the
team of the new-to-appear sport journal have spread past days
in the Romanian press. Almost 40 out of total of 60 journalists
of "Prosport" are supposed to leave next days or
after the new sport journal will be on the market.
The Swiss publishing company Ringier have paid a top seven
million dollars to buy "Prosport" one year ago,
but the original basic team of journalists, including editor
in chief Ioanitoaia left the journal for the rival "Gazeta".
This was like paying for an empty shell, some newspapers have
reported back then.
Ioanitoaia and his team made "Gazeta Sporturilor"
the best Romanian sport newspaper, with a February average
of 79 392, comparing to 70 009 of "Prosport". You
have to compare this to the previous Feb.2004 only 18 593
of "Gazeta" and 59 661 of "Prosport".
It seems to us that those articles soo obviously
"inspired" by Bi...or the using of the private (stolen-and
we may have soon news about how those photos get their way
to the press) photos, like those printed in the "Propsort",
despite legal warnings from Oana lawyer, didn't helped much
to get more readers. By contrary.
