[Nov 19] B&B
offer for China has been partially confirmed*
Romanian TVR1 (the official State channel)
has (somehow) confirmed that B&B are having negotiations
with China officials.
During a news aired few minutes ago, the TVR1 corespondent
at Melbourne (Alina Alexoi) said that Chinese officials in
Melbourne have admitted they are having (during past weeks)
discussions with B&B for a leading position at China gymnastics
team for Beijing. Present Chinese coaches will stay, B&B
will only coordinate the whole team.
*Romanian-gymnastics.com is waiting for
a confirmation of the TVR1 news (by Sunday), to have a word-by-word
check on this TVR1 Report when it will be replayed. At the
beginning of the news, the TVR1 Reporter said something like
"along with" or "based on" info
from a Romanian sport tabloid sources (known in the past for
the fake info about Dragulescu *having* a $3500 offer to coach
in US and other rumors, in favor of B&B).
[Nov
20] Both the transcript of the news aired by TVR1 and the
Prosport
article printed today says that the head of the Chinese
delegation, Mr.Zhang Peiwan, have confirmed (both to TVR1
reporter and Prosport journalist) that B&B's "may
come to China", as supervisors of present coaches. No
date was concluded (yet) for their arrival.
Well, if B&B need some extra help, like us publishing
some of our "black box" stories about their "hard"
attitude at team (verbal abuses of Cruella and The Mustache
Man punching girls during 80's , 90's ...) , I'm ready to
help, anything which helps them get the job and keep them
at distance of the new 2006 team. This news can make a very
happy weekend for those which really knows what really have
had happened at Romanian Olympic team during B&B's era,
but also a little bit of caution may be necessary: it's like
"too good to be true", so don't open the champagne
until we get a picture with them eating in a Beijing restaurant.
My answer to those which have said "I don't believe
that news because it's from that site": sometimes, as
you may have noticed, this site is the first to publish latest
news; very often they are confirmed by the next days newspapers
(which need more time for printing). I can't recall even a
single case to have something unconfirmed.
For example, one of this "gym fans" is the one which
have invented a very doubtful gym ranking system -which have
zero (0) value- only the official rankings are important and
only those really matter. To make a ranking system by... subtracting
points it's both stupid and unrealistic. Again, it doesn't
matter anyway how he did it, since only the official ranking
counts. So, he is the one who lure the gym fans by inventing
rankings; also, IMO, he is a chicken, too-he made a Report
about abuses in ROM gym (his only work which really counts),
then removed the link from the first page of his site.I rest
my case.
It was also said on TVR1 that B&B will
also fly to Milano next week and coming January they may start
their new job. Great for Belu (if they will really got there),
even better for Romanian gymnastics which may (finally) have
a new start. I'm sure that Romanian coaches, "oppressed"
so many years by the "dictatorial couple" will be
eager to take the revenge: Gold in Beijing (for us).
...It wasn't said anything said on TVR1 about any Ponor's
injury (a rumor which has *leg* crossed over Net); the lovesick
minds/idiots which already have felt happy about this (one
of their few happy moments, during their miserable life's)
should think more.
This BBC Report may give you a better picture:
Olympic
legend Sir Matthew Pinsent has been left stunned by the treatment
of young gymnasts in Beijing.
....The four-times gold medallist assessed China's preparations
for the 2008 Olympic Games for BBC Radio Five Live.
Pinsent, who described children in pain while training
and claimed a boy had been beaten by his coach, said:
"It was a pretty disturbing experience."
"I was wondering whether the western approach compared to
the eastern approach is a bit different, but I do think those
kids are being abused."
The International Gymnastics Federation has also promised
to raise the issue with China's gymnastics officials during
the World Championships in Melbourne later this month.
[My note: same IGF which "have sent" a letter
to RGF Vieru, back in 2002, about the faking ages "program"
which has caused (too) many injuries to romanian gymnasts.
Looks like the letter was lost on the way, nobody heard anything
more about it.Bruno has visited Romania last summer, he could
deliver it by himself].
