[Nov 20] Sandra
Izbasa on modern (acrobatic) vs. old (beautiful) gymnastic
Romanian ProTv aired a short (older) material filmed in Deva.
After a brief interview with coach Forminte, they tried to
make use on one of our stories- on Nadia's annyversary I spoke
about how beautiful her gymnastics was. Speaking about the
beauty of the "older" gymnastics- Nadia at Montreal-
they showed some of those "Perfect 10" moments,
then asked little Sandra (stupid question) like "What
do you think about Nadia's exercises, how they look to you
now?" Sandra took a moment and, smiling as usual, said
"Seems easier for me now." Stupid question, right
answer.
Problem is, you can't compare a Mustang from 60's to a today's
Honda. The last one is faster, but the first one is more beautiful
and, by the way, have a higher value on the market. Same with
gymnastics: you can't compare the "Good Old Days"
70's -80's gymnastics to modern jump-and-jump-and-jump again,
from "Bruno's acrobatic gymnastics". The new one
is more "hi-tech", but... no so nice to watch. You
can't compare Nadia to anything else:
yes, my new flashlight have like 2 mil. (or whatever) candles,
it looks like being very powerful, but still far from being
a ...Star. You have to be an idiot (like the ProTv reporter)
to compare a Star with a flashlight. The last one may looks
to you brighter, but even an idiot know that a Star...is a
Star.
The stupid reporter from ProTv who tried to make Sandra looks
like she was telling something bad on the older gym is an
idiot (and his boss Adrian Sarbu, the owner of station, will
know about this and how he's wasting his money). Nadia helped
them last summer to support the (looser) candidate of neo-communists
psd (heavily backed by Sarbu through his station), and now
the idiots from that TV channel try to make a joke from her
gymnastics.
Sandra have to learn (this is not her first mistake with the
press, but she is new in business and need more "parental
control") that, when somebody ask her (or any other young
girl) about Nadia: 1.go in their knees and say a prayer for
Nadia's health, for her contribution to make gymnastics one
of the most beloved sports; 2.the only correct answer would
be: gymnastics consist of two parts- Nadia, the Legend...and
the rest.
But before doing this, Sandra will (badly) need a visit to
a dentist and earn few medals in abroad competitions. And
no, she didn't won over Catalina at Ploiesti, Catalina lost
on her own hand (kilos and B&B's lack of training past
12 months) at floor.
Some inexperienced journalists named Sandra- too early- "the
new Queen". No, the new Queen will be named in Beijing.
She may become our new little...Princess, if she come back
from Euros with a medal.
Until then, less (stupid) interviews and back to work, work,
and work, little girl! And you have to write 200 times: "Nadia
is a Legend; I'm nobody-yet."
