Nadia Comaneci's mother will get married
Nadia
Comaneci's mother, Mrs.Stefania Comaneci will get married
soon, after a 3 years relationship with her fiancee, Mihai
Nedelea. Last year they got engaged and they live together
in Bucharest.
The
new comer in the "Perfect Ten's" family is well
seen by everybody. Andrei Comaneci, Nadia
Comaneci's Brother: "My mother's fiancee is
a simple man with a good character; it doesn't matter his
social status and what he did for a living (meaning he isn't
a VIP) , but only the fact that he is making my Mom happy."
The new couple-Mrs.Stefania Comaneci
and fiancee Mihai Nedelea- made their fist public appearance
at ROC's Gala dedicated to Nadia, Monday evening at Hilton
Hotel in Bucharest.
We got long time before that some first
hand info about the new couple and all our sources spoke positive
only about both of them and their future together. "He
seems to be a nice guy and Nadia's No. Fan; it seems to bring
a little bit of patience and a lot of understanding into Mrs.Stefania's
life, which was under very much stress- you can imagine is
not so easy to be the Mother of one of the most famous persons
of all times."
Nadia
Comaneci's mother is a very good housekeeper and cooker
also-a centuries old tradition in Moldavia, their homeland.
No surprise that Nadia is doing so well in kitchen too, for
Bart's enjoyment; their US neighbor, famous soap opera star
"Young and Restless" [name to be added?-I don't
watch such...things] was shown on Romanian ProTv station receiving
Nadia and Bart visit; the gift?.. a salad from "vinete",
popular Romanian (light) vegetarian food, originally from
Greece.
Nadia
Comaneci's parents had divorced long time ago; her
father has remained in their hometown Onesti while her mother
lived in Bucharest in a VIP area. Mrs.Stefania
Comaneci, Nadia
Comanecis mother is seen and beloved as much as former
UK's "The Queen Mother" by Romanian people and has
open doors everywhere, anytime. None of the local women from
politics or administration has earned even a fraction from
this respect.
Nadia's Mother does respect and encourage Romanian
gymnastics fans; she can't resist to any (of the thousands
inquiries) demands from friends or new acquaintances for photos
and autographs of Nadia- a reason why she is making huge supplies
(but always in short supplies) of her daughter autographed
photos each time when she "catch" Nadia at home.
Funny enough to imagine (we saw recently on TV such a scene,
during their Onesti visit) a Mother-daughter "autographed
session" meeting- but that's the price to pay for being
the Mom of such a Star :-).
Nadia
Comaneci's father, Gheorghe Comaneci, was overwhelm
by his daughter success back in 70's and this is the main
reason their parents divorced. A century old tradition in
Romania (as in many other East European states) is to "celebrate"
any big family or community event; great, huge quantities
of alcohol involved. Is not polite to refuse/deny such invitations,
because people will get seriously offended.
You can imagine that, in a small town, the Father
of the Miracle of the Century has got many, way too many such
of invitations on a daily basis. He was the Most Famous Father
and people want to "have a small drink" with him;
hundreds, thousands of people...Thanks to his strong body,
he did not become an alcoholic, but rather a husband who spend
too much times with friends. A Wife don't like you to come
late and they eventually get divorce.
Few years ago, Nadia
Comaneci's father got married himself with Mrs. Lenuta,
a loving and supporting wife which seems to handle well her
husband's local celebrity.
The 70's evenings filled with parties are
over and Mr. Gheorghe Comaneci is now a proud owner
of his own business, a pickles shop business. He has his own
(secret!) recipe and is very proud now about his own
success. By the way, we tasted them and his pickles are delicious
(especially the spiced ones!).
Another Moldavia old tradition is that,
no matter your age, if you are a Man you have to work, to
be useful. This was the main driving force which make him
go to the market each day. For his70's age is not so well
to work during winter in minus 30 (Celsius!) , digging with
empty hands in the freezing water barrels to sell those pickles.
I'm sure that local gym fans and managers of gym clubs from
Onesti, Bacau and any other neighboring big companies with
their own cantinas will have an urgent need to stock pickles
for their needs...at least so little we can do to support
the Man in pursuing his dream.
Tip for Bart: those 2 millions Lei ($70), reported
by local media as Conner's family aid to Nadia's Father is
a nice gesture; to be really useful, too, it needs to be increased
to $500 or so, which may not be a problem, isn't it?
Double Tip: buy/import all his pickles "production"
to US for wholesale distribution to Romanian restaurants or
local markets and you will save him from getting ill from
staying long hours in cold; Dylan need to have a healthy Grandpa
for long years to come! At least, if you deliver those pickles
to US restaurants, you can even make a good profit (bigger
one than with the magazine, anyway:-).
Seriously, big shopping centers from UK,
Spain, Italy, have included in their offer some products from
Eastern Europe like traditional cheese, meat products or...pickles;
and they have had big success selling them! Taste them and
see.
Details of "Mother's of Perfect Ten"
coming marriage are kept under strong embargo, partly because
Nadia has "ordered" so to her Mother and mostly
because local tabloids or some *journalists* have no "mercy"
to...their own mothers; they use to eat shit or invent stories
on a daily base.
"Casa de Piatra!"* Familiei Stefania
Comaneci & Mihai Nedelea!
*Stone-made House! traditional Romanian greeting for a
new marriage
**Reminder: to tell you next time a nice, funny story with
Mrs. Stefania (a positive one, of course!)
