Raducan speaks about her life after gymnastics
Former
Romanian gymnast Andreea
Raducan has spoken about her life after gymnastics,
during a TV lifestyle program (available
on web, click here).
Andreea
Raducan has graduated the Sport University last year;
she is studying now for a Journalism Master. "[Journalism]
It's a domain which I like, it attracts me even if I don't
know if I will practice or not. I already worked in this area
accidentally [she worked as a TVR1 anchor for a sport program]
" said Andreea
Raducan.
Andreea
Raducan likes to jogging on the National Stadium runways.
"During the summer I came very often, it's nice to come
here to run, to move a little bit; it makes me feel good."
It looks like Andreea has a nostalgia when she reminds about
her career as a gymnast-said the reporter.
"After I quit gymnastics, I become overweight
and I didn't followed any special diet, fitness program or
something like that", says Andreea
Raducan. "I think that after a while, my body
has come back in shape-1 year and a half after ending my gym
career- whithout doing much efforts. At this moment, I don't
think I need to use any diet program, I feel good as I am.
I do exercise to maintain a good tonus for the body and spirit."
"I use to starve myself
-this is not a solution!- but during my career it was
easier for me to loose weight simply by starving myself. It's
not a solution and I don't recommend it to anybody. I have
to admit that I tried this after I quit, but I didn't succeed
to loose weight because I was passing through my "critics
times [ delayed puberty] , transformations from a girl to
a teenage; no matter what I tried to, I didn't worked. In
the end, I just sit and waited my body to *do his functions*
and it came back to normal."
[Note: Romanian gymnastics team never had
before, don't have even now a nutritionist or a healthy diet
recommended by top specialists and nobody care about how girls
loose weight; they do it "in the old-wrong- way"-by
starving]
Andreea
Raducan *works* now for the Romanian Olympics Committee
Foundation, headed by one of the top Romania's billionaire.
Strange that, despite having top sponsors and using huge funds,
and after the initial publicity in tabloids, the same Foundation
"don't have any more enough funds", to reimburse
Andreea
Chelaru's University taxes (a lousy $200) or even
her medicines! (her past two months expenses with medicines
were not reimbursed any more). We hope that Andreea
Raducan can really do something for her former colleague
in pain.

This article is also an answer
to this Romanian gymnastics fan letter:
Hello!
I just wanna have some information about Andreea
Raducan, what does she do for living, how is she, does
she still have any link with gymnastics.
I'm a big fan of Andreea Raducan, Nadia Comaneci. I
know what does Nadia do but it's a total mystery for Andreea...
I hope that you could answer me and I could have some more
information about her.
Thanks a lot,
Halima DARRAZI, 24 years old, French.
