-In her room in Deva, Alexandra has a plastic bottle on her
nightstand. “That has holy water in it. I drink that every
morning on an empty stomach”, she says
-She started gymnastics age 4
-she has a sister
-in Sibiu Alexandra was coached by Nicoleta Zaharia, Nicolae
Buzoianu and Raluca Bugner
-She joined the junior national team in Onesti in 1997
-At the young age of 13 she moved from Onesti to Deva to join
the national team
-Alexandra missed the junior europeans in 2000 because of
a-crisis of appendicitis and she had to have emergency surgery
-Alexandra appeared in the olympic Gala's in Romania january
2001..In the Cluj-Gala.
She was asked to give her first intevieuw. Alexandra was so
nervous that she thanked the public who "was very primitive!"
(she was trying to say 'primitor' which means 'welcoming'
) Fortunately everbody could laugh at it.
-Unfortunately Alexandra was diagnosed with a herniated disc
in oktober 2001. Because of that she had to retire at
the age of 16. She was never able to really show her talent
on a big meet. But we won't forget here!
