General Interest
"Gianni" was the product of School Club N° 2 in Bucharest, making
her first steps in gymnatics with coach Lucia Mrcu and Mihai
Demetrescu. She was a slim, tall gymnast, very pleasant to look
at. She liked all the events the same, though she excelled in
vaulting and floor.
Update: Eugenia Golea no longer coaches at American Gymnastics
in Bedford Hills, NY. She left to go to coach at the YWCA in
White Plains, NY. Also, She got married in 2003, and she is
doing really well. Her husband is a chef, and he just opened
his first restaurant. (update kindly
