Letter*
from Isabella, a Romanian gymnastics fan
Hi!
I know this is not a mailbox for these kind of things, but
I have just read the news about darling Dana
Sofronie wanting to retire.
From what you write in your (wonderful) website I get that
you are in some way in touch with the team in Deva, and I
wonder if you could "deliver" a message from me. I mean, it
is something quite stupid in some ways, but I just wanted
to tell Dana that whatever she does she will always remain
my favorite gymnast ever.
I can understand her situation quite well, and I know that
in times like this you feel alone and powerless, so I want
to remember her that whatever she does she's a great great
athlete. And that even in a small small town in northern Italy,
there are fans of hers, totally amazed by her great talent
in gymnastic, but also by her beautiful smile.
If she decides to stay and to take part to the Worlds, I'll
be her N°1 supporter, but she must think about her health
first. She must do this, cause I (and everyone) want to see
her smiling after her gorgeous routines, not to spot her struggling
with pain.
I'd be really really grateful if you could contact her. And,
by the way, I forgot to introduce myself... I'm so concerned
with Dana that I even forget normal rules of courtesy ;-)
So, my name is Isabella, I am 18, I live in a small town near
the Alps, in Italy, and I love gymnastics, of course. Your
website is so amazing, you really did and do good work. I
visit it almost once a day to have news, and I'm totally satisfied
with what I get. Keep going this way! Thank you very much
for your help!
Take care, Isabella
Thanks for your message; I saw you already
followed our advice and posted part of your message on our
Forum, in the topic dedicated to Daniela.
It's nice to see there are many fans who really care about
their gymnastics idol first (and want to see Daniela healthy
first, rather than taking too many risks)>
*From the hundreds of letter we receive each week (sorry
for not being able to answer to all as fast as we want), we
shall select the most interesting one (the one which have
a more general interest appeal) to be published.
