[July 1st] Romanian denomination
As of 1 July 2005, the leu (ROL), Romania's legal tender,
will be subject to redenomination so that 10,000 old lei,
in circulation on that date, shall be exchanged for 1 new
leu (RON).
The existing banknotes and coins, i.e. the old lei, shall
be legal tender until end-December 2006. By 31 December
2006, the existing banknotes and coins, i.e. the old lei,
are to be replaced gradually by the new banknotes and coins.
Starting 1 January 2007, the exchange shall be made only at
the NBR branches carrying out payments and at the offices
of the credit institutions authorised by the NBR Governor's
order to perform the exchange.The exchange will be made for
unlimited period starting with 1 january 2007. Denomination

Petrovschi: 10 score for English, despite heavy pains
This morning, Oana Petrovschi get (another) 10
score, for her English language test. Despite heavy back pains
(each time when weather change or heavy pressure coming, she
have strong back pains), Oana made an effort and went to the
English language exam this morning. And she get a 10!

Oana Petrovschi was the last gymnast (exams are in alphabetical
order) to pass the first graduation test, today afternoon.
Oana got a 10 (maximum) at the Romanian language test.

gymnastics : it's exams time!

Eremia was the first to start, earlier today, the exams
sessions for the Romanian gymnastics (Olympic) team. Alex
get a 10 on the Romanian language exam, and if you looks how
fast she talks during TV interviews, like this afternoon on
Antena1 , you can easy understand that she have no problems
with speaking fluently.

tornado hit nearby the National Training Center

powerful tornado hit earlier this morning (like 2 a.m.) right
nearby the National Olympic Center, where girls live these
days.

Floarea and Munty last summer,
having a minute time off between their walk from gym hall
to the hotel. As you may see, the whole area is crowded with
old trees, ready to go down at first strong wind.
Girls are fine (maybe a little bit scared)
and the hotel where they live is very strong, but if the tornado
would hit during the day, when girls use to have walks in
the park, something bad could happen.

Eremia received today the INMS agreements for training.
Well, not exactly the most correct ones, but kind of. They
may be legal, I'm not sure if they are moral or very professional
ones.How they manage to get it? By arranging
"on spot" (discreetly and in a big, big hurry) a
more "friendly" commission to review the girls new
medical documents.

Ponor- Honorable Citizen of Constanta and...landowner
During a ceremony hosted by Constanta Municipal Council, Catalina
Ponor and her former (first) coach Matei Stanei have both
received the titles "Honorable Citizen of Constanta"
and promises for 500 square meters of land (inside city, to
build a house, approximated value $25 000-$70 000, depending
on the location to be given).

Rosu have both revealed their soccer favorites: the Romanian
soccer team "Steaua",
the most popular in Romania since communist regime (they won
European Champions League back in 1986).

with the new family member: Rares Andrei, born on June 8 -a
healthy and beautiful 2,900 Kg boy.

Ponor, the last remain of a (former) Gold Team
 It
takes less than a year from the success of the Romanian gymnastics
team, to see the disaster from Euros.
This came not surprisingly, but still unpleasant for all those
who loves the Romanian gymnastics.
Catalina was still the "Angel" of the team, saving
(not entirely) the Honor of Romanian gymnastics (...and B&B's),
with an excellent balance beam evolution..
Nadia Comaneci documentary, on Romanian TV "Acasa"
On June
5, the Romanian TV station "Acasa" will air
(13,00) a documentary about Nadia Comaneci. The documentary
was filmed at Nadia's home in US.The replay of documentary
is aired Monday June 6 at 10,00.
