Without doubt, the two most promising Romanian juniors being
groomed for glory in the 1985-1988 Olympic cycle were Daniela
Silivas and Raluca Bugner. Both girls debuted at the prestigious
International Japan Junior Invitational in 1983.
Sadly, Raluca vanished just as she began to prove herself.
Although unable to compete herself, Raluca redirected her
talents towards judging, e.g., bars at the 1997 Romanian Nationals,
and coaching Romania's younger gymnasts.
She currently coaches at CSS Sibiu, home club of 2000 Olympian
Claudia Presacan and 2000 Junior AA European Champion Sabina
Cojocar.
