[June 24] Powerful
tornado hit nearby the National Training Center
A
powerful tornado hit earlier this morning (like 2 a.m.) right
nearby the National Olympic Center, where girls live these
days.

Floarea and Munty last summer,
having a minute time off between their walk from gym hall
to the hotel. As you may see, the whole area is crowded with
old trees, ready to go down at first strong wind.
Girls are fine (maybe a little bit scared) and the hotel where
they live is very strong, but if the tornado would hit during
the day, when girls use to have walks in the park, something
bad could happen. Earlier this week we had a report about
girls being in a TV interview about their favorite soccer
team-that interview was made on their favorite relax area
in the park, filled with ready to fall trees.
Tens of very heavy 50 years old trees were down on the roads
around the national Stadium, blocking the access all around.
People who live in the blocks which surround the National
Training Center have reported about a powerful sound, explosion-alike
from the sky, followed by the 10-minutes tornado. This one
took place only on a very limited area, right in a corner
of a National Training Center.
Romanian tornados are something new, first
small ones being recorder after 1990, only 5 major tornados
hit the country past 15 years, 3 of them past six month. Strange
enough, two of them were around the Golden Team-one in Deva
like six month ago (see our Report) and the today one.
...30 minutes ago, a small to medium earhquaqe
hit Bucharest (after the last week 5.2 Richter one). From
same X-files alike events, past weeks strange lights and moving
objects were reported on the Bucharest sky, some of them being
filmed.
