Laura Cutina was a real talented girl and a good dancer on floor, an exercise she enjoyed the most.
Laura Cutina was a member of the 1983 World Team, where she placed 9th All-Around and 2nd with her team. Following the Worlds she made a strong showing at the 1984 American Cup, placing 2nd and ultimately earning a spot on the history making 1984 Olympic Team. In the Olympics she places 1st with her team and an amazing 5th All-Around.
After the Olympics many thought Laura might retire but she didn't. She stayed around and again earned a spot on the 1985 Worlds team. She briefly retired following this meet, but made the team for the 1987 World University Games. This was her last competition. It was last reported in early 1999 that Laura Cutina is living somewhere in Romania.
