Team Olympic Champion 2004 !
She is a representative of the new generation in the Romanian National Team, stepping strongly in, to replace the World Greats Simona Amanar and Maria Olaru, who retired after Sydney 2000.
At the 2000 European Championships in Paris (FRA), Silvia became Junior Champion on Beam and Floor, and a silver medallist in the overall, thus sharing the glory with the winner and a team mate Sabina Cojocar.
As a debutant at the Senior level, Stroescu fully justified her place in the Romanian Team contributing for her country's sixth World title in Ghent (BEL) in November 2001. She took 11th position in the overall and finished in 7th on Floor.
